This is one of the fastest growing evergreens. It is adaptable to many conditions with long soft needles and grows to be about 75- 100 feet. Good tree specimens, naturalizing, windbreak or dense screen. White pines are not picky about light conditions growing in full sun to full shade conditions. White pines are well suited to poor soils and drier sites, but grow best in sandy or loamy, well drained, acidic soils. (BGN)
