Swamp White Oak
10 in stock
(Quercus bicolori) Pack of 5 18-24" bare root seedlings
Our Ohio native oak that has great potential for early acorn production. The name swamp is quite misleading. Swamp white Oak grows well on upland sites. They prefer an acid soil and full sun, and for a tree with swamp in its common name, they are surprisingly drought tolerant. This hardy native oak grows 50-60 feet in height. They will thrive when planted along streams and rivers; they are an excellent choice for wetland plantings. Its fall color is yellow- bronze. A great choice for attracting wildlife. (BCNW)
